EVENTS PROGRAMMER
The role of the Events Coordinator is to maintain quarterly calendar of and oversee all Apogee events, including open mics, featured readings, staff readings, launch parties, and annual benefit. Draft event night-of timeline, secure (or helps to secure) venue, stay in contact with venue and readers, staff events, assure A/V setup and refreshments (if applicable). Run or delegate running of events.
Collaborate with Executive Editor on budgets for events. Collaborate with Promotions Manager for publicizing events.

PROMOTIONS MANAGER

The Promotions Manager works to develop events opportunities for Apogee, including book fairs, panel discussions, and open mics;  make contact with other like-minded journals; and promote the brand of the journal to outside individuals and institutions including presses, educational institutions, and literary organizations. Manages Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts, promotes events, promotes Apogee blog content, and builds a base of followers. The Promotions Manager should have a broad knowledge of the current literary landscape, including literary journals, blogs, authors and relevant media outlets.
