Apogee Journal is pleased to announce we will be the first journal-in-residence at Wendy’s Subway, a cross-disciplinary arts space in Williamsburg, New York, where we plan to host readings and workshops starting this fall and continuing until April 1st, 2015.

Wendy’s Subway is a 24-hour non-profit library and workspace dedicated to collaborative practice, performance, publication and education. We are excited to be working with this dynamic project to increase community interest in the intersection of arts and activism. WS hosts an innovative series of literary readings and events and has invited Apogee to participate; we plan to host an Apogee Journal anti-Valentine’s reading in February, and a Writing & Activism workshop series (dates to be announced).

Apogee will also be contributing to WS’s library with copies of our previous issues and works from our Alternate Canon; in addition, our editors are excited to contribute our work to WS’s print journal.

The staff at Apogee Journal is committed to thoughtful, inclusive dialogue with other members of the arts community and to the building of cooperation-centric arts movements. We are thankful to Wendy’s Subway for offering us the space to continue our work! Please support our friends at Wendy’s by checking out their website and their amazing schedule of upcoming events and workshops.
Yours
